Guide Book
Getting Started
Waystones offers a variety of ways to teleport from one place to another.
To get started, either find a village and activate your first Village Waystone, or collect some Ender Pearls to craft a Waystone yourself.
With a waystone ready and active, use any of the various Scrolls or a Warp Stone to teleport back to it!
You can also use a waystone directly to teleport to any other waystone.

Waystones
Waystones allow you to teleport from one place to another. Use a waystone to select a target to teleport to.
Any waystone you place or find is available to everyone in your realm. See Tome of Secrecy on Page 14 to learn how to change that.
You can edit existing waystones by using them while sneaking.
Groups determine the icon of the waystone and can be used to search for your waystones more easily once you've unlocked enough of them.
Return Scrolls
Return scrolls allow you to teleport back to the nearest Waystone you've placed or activated.
Hold the use button on a return scroll to teleport. Return scrolls are consumed when they are used.
Warp Scrolls
Warp scrolls allow you to teleport to any Waystone you've placed or activated.
Hold the use button on the scroll and select your target. Warp scrolls are consumed when they are used.
Bound Scrolls
Use a waystone with a Unbound Scroll in hand to turn it into a Bound Scroll.
Hold the use button on a bound scroll to teleport. Bound scrolls are consumed when they are used.
Warp Stone
The warp stone offers a reusable way to teleport to any Waystone you've placed or activated.
Warp stones are not consumed, but they use up durability. You can enchant them with a Book of Mending for repair.
Sharestones
Sharestones are a special kind of waystone that is attuned to a specific mineral.
Sharestones of a kind will allow you to teleport to any other sharestone of the same kind.
Portstones
Portstones are one-way methods to teleport to any activated waystone.
They can be attuned to a specific mineral to teleport to their corresponding sharestones instead.
Warp Plates
Warp Plates can be used to teleport to another warp plate by standing on top of it. This works for players, mobs and items.
They are linked together using Attuned Shards. To remove a shard, use the warp plate while sneaking.
When the warp plate is first placed, it will pop out an Attuned Shard linked to this warp plate. Bring this shard to another warp plate to connect the two.
You can also create additional attuned shards by crafting and placing a Dormant Shard inside of an empty warp plate.
Portal Scrolls
Portal Scrolls can be used to open a Warp Portal to any waystone you've placed or activated.
Use the scroll and select a waystone to open a portal leading there. Step through the portal to be teleported. It will close in 5 minutes.
For as long as the portal is open, you can teleport back to it using any waystone or warp item. Return Scrolls will also return you to the open portal.
Portals allow both players and mobs, as well as items to be teleported.
Village Waystones
Some villages will have a structure containing a Waystone.
Use the waystone to activate it, at which point you can use it to teleport back and forth as with regular waystones.
Tome of Secrecy
By default, waystones you place or activate will be made available to others in your world. Any waystones placed by others will also be made available to you.
You can read the Tome of Secrecy to stop participating in this shared knowledge pool.
Waystone Teams
Realm owners can assign teams to players. Players on the same team will share a waystone pool.
This means all waystones they place or activate will be made available to others in their team.
To assign a player a team, use the following command, substituting <team>
with a unique name (no spaces, all lowercase):
/tag <player> add blay_waystones:team_<team>
